Hi Joe, welcome to Review Zoo
Hi, thank you for having me.
First of all, where are you guys from?
We’re from Oldham, near Manchester in the UK.
How and when did Tortured Demon form?
We formed in 2018 at school, but myself and Jacob had been jamming together for over a
decade prior, being brothers in the same house. Our dad has played in local bands for years, so he was a big inspiration when we were picking up our instruments.
How did the name Tortured Demon come about?
We thought it sounded cool so we went with it. There’s no deeper meaning.
Have you got any events or tours approaching?
We’re on tour in the UK from the 5th until the 12th of October.
We’re playing in Manchester, Nottingham, Glasgow, Southampton, Norwich, and London.
We’re then heading to Ireland in March as special guests to Evile in Limerick, Dublin, and Belfast on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively. We’re hoping to be able to tour more extensively in 2024.
For anyone who hasn’t heard Tortured Demon yet, which one of your songs would you say best puts across the band's sound?
Rise Of The Lifeless (the title track from our new album) sums up most of what we do, but
Virtual Death or Global Threat feature more melody, which is another major aspect of our sound.
What’s the highlight of the bands career so far?
Playing Bloodstock in 2021 and 2023, touring with Xentrix and Evile in 2022, and releasing our new album Rise Of The Lifeless.
We’re stoked to be able to do our own headline tour, and grateful that so many people are buying tickets. We’re looking forward to it!
What’s the average age of the band?
19
What’s your latest release?
Our new album Rise Of The Lifeless was released this year.
Do you have any new releases on the horizon?
Not right now, as we’ve just released our new album. However, we are always working on new tracks for future releases.
Who are your biggest influences as a band?
Trivium, Machine Head, Sylosis, Sepultura, Evile, and anything else that’s fast and aggressive, but with well-crafted songs.
Thanks for having me on!
