ON THE BOX: NERVOSA – “Ghost Notes”
Brazilian thrash outfit Nervosa have unleashed the video for their ferocious new single “Ghost Notes”, the latest preview of their upcoming sixth album Slave Machine, due for release on April 3 via Napalm Records.
Driven by chugging riffs, relentless drumming and the unmistakable snarl of guitarist-turned-frontwoman Prika Amaral, “Ghost Notes” captures the band in full attack mode. The track balances groove-heavy thrash with sharp melodic flourishes, building toward a blazing guitar solo that underlines the band’s technical bite.
The accompanying video matches that intensity, presenting the band in full performance mode as the song barrels forward at high speed. It’s another reminder of the raw power Nervosa have built their reputation on since emerging from Brazil’s thriving metal underground.
“Ghost Notes” is the latest glimpse of Slave Machine, which was produced by Martin Furia of German thrash veterans Destruction. The album promises twelve tracks of high-velocity thrash that blend old-school aggression with a modern edge.
With Amaral now firmly established as the band’s lead vocalist following 2023’s Jailbreak, Nervosa continue to push forward with renewed intensity — and “Ghost Notes” suggests the upcoming record won’t be pulling any punches.
