Following the release of their most brutal, vicious, critically-acclaimed album, 2023’s Negative Energy, UK alt-metal trio VEXED return with the video for the most poignant track on the album, 'It's not the end'.

The song is a tribute to a deceased loved one, acknowledging struggles in the grieving process.

Vocalist Megan Targett on 'It's not the end': "How do you carry on living when someone you love dies? The grieving process knows no concept of time, and death becomes the sole point of reference to navigate life. 'It's not the end' pays tribute to those we have deeply loved and lost, while also acknowledging the pain and loneliness that accompany those beautiful memories."

VEXED received incredible praise from national and international press for Negative Energy.

Top nods include being named one of the best albums of 2023 by Metal Hammer UK, the anthem

'Anti-Fetish' airing on BBC Radio 1 Rock Show and SiriusXM Liquid Metal, and 'Trauma Euphoria' being spun on Kerrang! Radio’s Fresh Blood show.

Formed in 2019, VEXED comprises vocalist Megan Targett, guitarist Jay Bacon, drummer Willem Mason-Geraghty, and bassist Al Harper.

Swiftly gaining recognition in the UK metal scene for their powerful sound and dynamic live performances, the band released impactful debut singles, including the formidable 'Elite' featuring CJ McMahon from Thy Art Is Murder. This quickly propelled VEXED into the underground spotlight.

In 2020, VEXED inked a deal with the independent label Napalm Records, leading to the release of their debut full-length album, "Culling Culture," in May of the following year. The album, consisting of ten tracks, showcases VEXED's distinctive style characterized by punishing breakdowns, technical guitar riffs, and Megan Targett's formidable vocals. The lyrics delve into societal issues such as mental health and social justice, earning praise for their honesty and relatability.

Enjoying commercial success and widespread critical acclaim, VEXED's live performances have become known for their intensity and energy. The band secured support slots with notable acts like Spiritbox and In Flames.

Looking ahead, VEXED anticipates the release of their second album on June 23rd via Napalm Records. The album, titled "Negative Energy," promises a punishing listening experience. From the haunting intro track 'PTSD' to the collaboration with Alpha Wolf's Lochie Keogh on 'Lay down your flowers' and the intense finale 'Nepotism,' the album spans a range of emotions.

In "Negative Energy," VEXED skillfully merges fury with emotion. Tracks like 'Default' showcase Megan Targett's soaring clean vocals contrasted against menacing growls. The emotionally charged 'It's Not The End' stands out as a moving tribute to a departed loved one, solidifying their legacy.

A breathtaking and devastating musical journey, "Negative Energy" serves as a conduit for VEXED's pain-laden burdens, breathing life into their innovative approach with a thunderous vengeance.
